👚OOTD Spring 2016👠

Those little rays of spring sunshine sure does put a spring in my step! How about you guys? So I thought I’d share the start of my spring wardrobe with you guys😁 Enjoy!

I’ve been wearing a few, thinnish layers (as it is still a teensy bit chilly in the early mornings and late evenings) I have also been pulling out my cardis and summer jackets for a bit of warmth. At the mo my Nike all whites seem to be going everywhere with me this season! (Love them😍)

How have you been styling your spring wardrobe? Let me know! As I love upping the style and trends👍🏽

👗OOTD – Vintage glam! 💄

image

I am a massive fan of vintage style clothing and looks! It’s an era that’s timeless and classic. Be it clothes, hair or accessories and there is always something that will suit everyone!

Originally sourced vintage clothing can be hard to come by and is expensive! And I am yet to find a piece that I am completely in love with 😕 (my search will continue) in the meantime let’s play around with pieces and looks that are easily accessible for all!

If you know me well, you will know that it is very rare that I will don a dress (always have done indian dresses such as shalwar kameez etc, as that’s a norm for me) So to find dresses that I actually like and make use of, is a great investment for me lol.

When I first saw this spotty dress hanging on a rail in my local boutique, I was skeptical about how spotty it was! 😂 but the colour and the vintage style image I had in my head made me go for it!

When I first put this dress I instantly fell in love with it! The fabric is a silky polyester. It had a long zip and a tie-belt at the back. The dress also has small box pleats at the front and back. The pleats were another thing I was nervous about as I am pear shaped but the dress hangs really well and actually flatters my figure.

Whenever I wear this dress it is always with a bright lippie either Mac’s Candy yum yum or Mac’s Ruby woo! It just brings the simple dress to life!

I have worn this dress on numerous occasions such as the beach, a day trip to the circus and even a baby shower! It’s just so comfy and easily put together! Be it flats or with heels!

And that’s my take on my vintage glam! I have loved this dress so much, that I will defo be trying on more vintage inspired dresses. Well I’m off for a spot of brunch now, have a fab Sunday guys! 😍😘😍😘

By the way do you like vintage fashion? If yes what are your fave looks or key pieces! And if anyone can direct me to some fab vintage lines, I would love to know! Thanks

The Nudes – Minimalistic Shoes

image

So this week I bought another pair of shoes! (Ooopsie 🙊) but you know when you have one those moments, you look at something and think ‘oooo they are really nice’  but you’ll nab them later? And then you forget? Then you get home and just keep thinking about it, coupled with a minor panic attack at the same time 😂 it was truly one of those moments lol.

I have a thing about patent shoes at the mo. They look so quirky and definitely trend with any outfits! When I saw these almond patents I fell in love 😍 but when I tried them on, I wasn’t sure (hence my above Snapchat 😂) However  I kept them because they were not my norm and boy am I glad I did! because I now love them!

I have been wearing my almond patents all week, when I’ve been at work and when I haven’t. I’ve paired my patents with jeans, leggings and my fave slouchy harem style pants.

They are also super comfy to wear (not had any ‘new’ shoes blisters! Yaay) and being a teeny size 3 they fit like a dream! And pssst they were cheap as chips 👍

Do you like the shiny patent shoe trend? If yes tag me in your posts on insta, pinterest, snapchat or twitter! Would love to see how you wore yours xxx

👖OOTD – Boho Chic👡

image

Boho Chic is my fave look! The elements of this style has been inspired by bohemian and hippie influences. Think paisleys, floaty florals, braided hair and denims.

This balmy weather is perfect for a Boho Chic look and it also means I can still pull out my summer footwear (bonus!)

I have been looking for a top (a-la Dina tokia check her instagram!) for ages. I love how its short at the front and long at the back. I went for a classic chiffon black as it can be paired with anything!

I have a thing about turned up denims! (I reckon it’s cos I’m short 😂) It just completes a look by giving it a little twist as oppose to them just hanging down.

I have only used three accessories to complete this look. A fringed bag, t-bar long necklace and laser cut out heels. Anything with a fringe is soooo totally in this season! Try it and let me know how you like your fringes.

And finally with my hair I pulled it into a middle parted, braided hairstyle as I felt it completed the Boho Chic look. But you can put it up into a bun or have loose sexy waves. My makeup has been kept quite matte with a dewy silvery highlighter and a pop of berry lips!

How are you spending your Sunday guys? And let me know if you like the Boho Chic look just as much as I do!
