❤️Armani Si! Bloggers fave❤️

As you can tell by my blog title, I am making no bones about which is my fave repurchaseable scent of all times! Yes, It’s Giorgio Armani Si!

This scent is like heaven for me! Every time I wear it, I am always, always guaranteed to be asked what I am wearing😀 This peachy hued bottle has a gorge smell of floral notes with a little vanilla. It is not overpowering (as strong scents make me sneeze!👎🏽)

The scent is not of those, that you spray once and it’s gone. This scent will even linger when you jump into the shower! Which to me is perfect as you don’t want to fork out silly money for a scent which neither you can smell or others! I believe it’s important to have a scent that you love and smell of, as it can help define your personality.

I have repurchased this fragrance countless of times and I believe Armani has now added Giorgio Armani- Intense which has been infused with Morrocan roses! (I have sniffed it and it’s gorge! look out for my next purchase on this!)

When I repurchased this fragrance for the 4th time 🙈 I was lucky enough to get a fab deal on a gift box from the theperfumeshop.com/‎ The fragrance was a 50ml Eau de parfum with a free Armani mascara! (Makeup! Eeekk lol) and for £44 this was defo a bargain! (As the scent on its own retails for £50!)

The mascara itself is amazing! The wand is large and enables to give you the most fluttery, separated lashes. The formula of the product is creamy, rich and a great intense black! (I wear this mascara almost everyday 🙈)
So if your thinking about changing up your smell game, try Giorgio Armani Si! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Have you tried this scent? If yes, what are your thoughts? Do you have any other fave scents? If yes! Please do let me know down below as I would love to know your faves!

💟A Fragrance on its own💟

When you first experience a new scent, you subconsciously link it to an event, a person, an image, a feeling … even a moment. Your brain immediately forges an association between the scent and a memory, and then each subsequent time you encounter that scent, your mind slips into a state of déjà vu.

At Ayesha Ziya we are passionate about scents that are ever lasting, exclusive and exotic. With many years of careful research and blending of different ingredients, our collection now consists of 5 unique and indulgent fragrances. A simple spray of our fragrance will have you hooked to the luscious, enticing scents that we have to offer.

A sublime fragrance can elicit more intense feelings than a visual image, a taste and even a touch. Scents relationship with déjà vu is remarkable, and something that Ayesha Ziya captures in her fragrances.

(Excerpt from http://www.ayeshaziya.com)

Every word said about Ayesha Ziya is inexplainably true! These fragrances are so unique, that I promise you that you will find no other on the market! I purchased my sample box earlier this month and boy I am not disappointed!

The main base of all of these scents is OUD! Oud? What is oud? I hear you say?! Well OUD is derived from the tropical agar tree, which is thought to originate in Assam in India. When the tree is infected by a mould known as Phialophora parasitica it reacts by producing a dense, dark and fragrant resin to protect itself. It is the resin-embedded heartwood of the tree that is the source of oud! It is one of the most expensive, natural raw ingredient to bottle.

In my sample box, I recieved 5, 2ml vials. The 5 vials were Irum, Islah, Signature Oud, The Oud and Royal Mirage. My fave out of all the five is defo ‘IRUM’! The vials were beautifully presented in a black embossed box with an internal velvet lining. They all smell great and each one has its own unique distinctive smell. But ‘Irum’s’ mellow, lighter notes gets me everytime!

The unisex fragrances are so versatile and alluring. Each pure smell lingers for a very long time. My son and hubby love the fragrances equally (but I’ve hidden Irum away because I want it😂) Each fragrance has been appreciated by vogue and GQ magazine alike! (Check it out on insta http://instagram.com/ayeshaziyafragrances )

Delivery times were great too! Almaas Mann @ http://instagram.com/almasmaanblush

Was fab at notifying of each stage of my delivery and she has regular stockist updates on all new fragrances, stock and prices! (If you wana know more, pls click her link!)

Pssst I’ve also noticed that they are always doing fab gift events! (Ribbon wrapped services, chocolates and flowers!) So do check it out as I am pretty sure that your loved ones would love something as unique and different as the Ayesha Ziya fragrances!

Have you purchased these fragrances? If yes! What was your fave? Do let me know.

In the meantime enjoy your weekend, whilst I go and purchase the full size of ‘Irum’! 😉

*please note that these fragrances have been bought from my own pennies! These products were not sent to me for review*

📦February Birchbox 2016!📦

Ok I know I know it’s the 1st of March! And I’m super late with my review! (Sowiee) but I had to show you the goodies I recieved in Feb, as it was awesome! So if this post doesn’t want to make you subscribe to this goody box, then I don’t know what will😉😍

Oh my this month Birchbox has defo outdone itself for me! All the products were gorge and fitted my profile perfectly!

This months theme was based on ‘shine bright like a diamond’ which celebrates all ways that we can add that extra bit of sparkle in our everyday lives!

Cochine Hand and Body Lotion –  £19

Mum and businesswoman, Kate Crofton-Atkins brings the magic of Saigon through fragrance into our home through the power of Cochine. With a background in skincare from L’Oreal Kate knows a thing or too about the beauty industry and has created a brand which is now stocked all over the world.

A truly luxurious sample of a body cream! It glides and melds into your skin beautifully. The smell is that of fresh blossoms and this was a generous sample that lasted well into a week! The cream is not too heavy or light, perfect for those with dry skin.

Would I repurchase this product? Yes! as I have sensitive, dry skin and this did not irritate me at all!

Ole Henriksen – Truth Serum Collagen Booster £47

Ole Henrikson is a Danish skin cosmetician and owner of skincare products, living in the United States.

This little baby is packed full of vitamins to give your skin a much needed dose of the good stuff! I have to be honest and say I haven’t really used it long enough to say that I’ve noticed a difference 🙈 (as I’ve got a cupboard full of facial oils at the mo!) But the times I have used it, I have to say it’s nice, light and non greasy (which is a bonus if your oily skinned like me) On the directions it does say that you can use it twice a day but I like to layer my products at night, as that’s when I really amp up my skincare benefits!

Would I repurchase! No ☹ at £47, that is a hefty price tag! Yes I’ve not used it long enough but I like my Dr Organics Morrocan oil which is less than that price! Maybe it’s a matter of opinion but I’m sticking to what I know👍🏽

The Balm Cosmetics – Fratboy blush £15.50

A sassy, classy fun make up brand that is based in San Francisco. (Sounds similar to benefit!) A high quality make up brand that lets you be fun, flirty and amazing!

I love The Balm Cosmetics! I currently own 4 products from this brand! (A winged liner, two lippies and of course Mary Lou Manizer) Unlike Benefit, I like this brand better as their quality is second to none. Every single product I own from this brand, I absolutely love😍 and this sample of ‘Fratboy’ was no exception!

Yes the sample is small but true to birchbox’s word, the blush/eyeshadow is highly pigmented and a little goes a long way. The product is not shimmery and applies matte. Once applied it does not budge or slip or slide anywhere!

Would I purchase the full size? Oh yes! This colour looks fab on my NC42 skin (made it all radiant and alive😀)

Derm Eyes – Makeup Remover Wipes £9.50

One in every three women suffer allergic reactions or incompatibilities between their make-up and contact lens. And they don´t know what to do. For these women Derm Eyes has created optocosmetics, a solution using high quality, 100% natural active ingredients.

This allows them happily to use make-up which cares for their eyes. It is a product inspired by nature thus ensuring both beauty and health. Whether you have problems with your make-up or not, open your eyes and enjoy a new cosmetics created to care for you both inside and out. (Excerpt from Derm Eyes website)

Now I for one do not like using makeup wipes to remove my eye makeup. I like using my garnier eye makeup remover with a cotton pad and I’m done! 🙈

So to see the Derm Eyes makeup remover wipe in my Birchbox, made me a little sad😒 HOWEVER….. I tried the wipe and I absolutely loved it!! It took off all my waterproof eye makeup as well as my base (actually literally everything) The fabric was super soft on my skin and it did not irritate me! (Super sensitive skin here!) It did not really have a smell and face felt squeaky clean👍🏽

Now this product is specifically geared to remove eye makeup however, I used it all over my face lol (the wipe was massive😉) and when I repurchase I would still use it all over my face (why not hey? If it’s good for my eyes, I’m sure it’s ok for my face😁)

PS no pic of the product as I used it up lol but please do check out their website you will find it on there 😄

Loc One and Done Shadow Stick in Perfect Cents – £8

An exciting launch by birchbox! Their very own in house makeup brand! So what can we expect from this shadow stick? Up to 11 hours of creaseless, waterproof colour in one handy stick! This formula has been designed to eliminate the use of extra faff such as brushes, blenders and primers!

One sweep of this stick all over my eyelids and blended with a finger and I was good to go! The formula is highly pigmented and lasted for ages! I also used it as a inner corner highlight and it was gorgeously bronzey but not overly ‘discoey’.

This was a rather generous full size product, that I throughly enjoyed using! Can’t wait to see what other makeup Birchbox has in store for their line! Well done Birchbox 👏🏽

Check out my insta  https://www.instagram.com › glitterglosglo

To see how I used the LOC shadow stick!

Spectrum Collections Tapered Powder Brush – £7.99

Spectrum Collections is a cosmetics brush brand who specialise in boldly designed makeup brushes, applicators and tools, where vibrant colour palettes are teamed with expert design. Spectrum Collections aims to be a trusted and recognised brand amongst professional artists and makeup lovers alike.
All of Spectrum Collection’s brushes are hand finished, vegan and animal friendly – composed of the highest quality synthetic hair, ensuring the brushes are not only beautifully soft, but also a compassionate choice.

Our unique product range targets a niche within the industry, and presents the opportunity to provide a vibrant range of alternative brushes, that translate as an extension of the vibrant colours used and loved by makeup fanatics. (An excerpt from the Spectrum website)
My my my when I opened my Birchbox this was the first thing I saw, a full sized spectrum collection brush! and I was sooooo happy!! (I defo galloped around like a unicorn lol)

I have used this brush a numerous times to set my under eye highlight and let me just say it is ah-ma-zing! The handle is nice and solid. The bristles are super soft and for 7.99 your are so not getting a bum deal, believe me! I love the quirky colours the brushes come in and they feel like and look like quality!

Will I be repurchasing some more?! Hell yes! I am going to look at some of their complete brush collections and see what they have to offer!

And that wraps up my Birchbox post! Did you recieve your February box? If yes, did you like it as much as I did? I can’t wait to see what March has in store and I promise I will try not to leave the review so late! 🙈

Bloggers Fave – A Truly Vintage Affair⌚️📻🎀

Hey guys👋🏽

Who loves all things vintage?! Meeeee!! So when Lous Lous Vintage Fair said they were looking for bloggers to blog the Fair, I jumped right into it! So before I ramble into an excitement, let’s get right into it!😀

Set in the beautiful, high ornate ceilings of the Grand Hotel in Leicester, this highly sought after fair makes it way all round the United Kingdom. With it, it brings collectable dishware, reclaimed furniture, hair, makeup, vintage clothing and accessories!

Before entering the fair me and my daughter had our hand stamped and entered into what felt like a bygone era❤️ There were two rooms full of everything a vintage lover could possibly want!

The two rooms full of vintage ware! Defo something to tickle everyones vintage taste buds from…..

Tailored outfits…..

Trinkets and much more!

I created a little snapchat to try and bring the event live to you, enjoy👍🏽

The vendors were extremely helpful and friendly. You were able to try on stuff as they had mirrors or some were even happy to let you use the ladies so you got a better picture.

From my snapchat you can see that I picked up a few treasures from the fair. Let’s go through them so you can get a gist of where they are from and my love for them❤️

Marneys Vintage

The best thing about the Vintage Fair was the sale rails that nearly all the vintage clothes holders had! They were some super awesome bargains like my sweater/cardigan/jacket that you can see here. It’s perfect for this season, with large buttons and a psychedelic print in the same colour palette. It has a large, open style cowl neck and big poufy sleeves anndddd pockets! (I love pockets😍) I have been wearing this £5! (Yes I said £5!) item with my skinny jeans, loose fit jeans, blouses and over little winter dresses. It’s so versatile that I can almost pair it with anything! (And can I just say keeps me warm👍🏽)

Minimum Mouse

Although I love jewellery, I don’t really wear it! (Argh I don’t know why lol) but I saw some amazing pieces at the fair so I had to nab them🙊 (and I have worn them!)

I picked up three gorge vintage inspired necklaces from Minimum Mouse (cute name right?!) All ranging from £8-£5! My fave has to be the time inspired one as whenever I wear that one, it always sparks a conversation with other people!

Blousey Clothing

They specialise in unique blouses ranging from the 70’s! With an array of vintage prints and details.

Me and my daughter could not get enough of this stall haha. We wanted them all! But we were good girls, as we still had loads to see (and were being mindful with our pennies!) We obviously went for the offer that said 2 for £25 and bought two gorge shimmery finish blouses that we could wear as staples  with any of our outfits.

I went for a nice cream finish with pointy collars and thread detail on the front. My daughter chose this beautiful beige one with lovely coffee coloured buttons. Trust me there was a blouse for every shape and size!

Raevins House

These gorge candles are homemade by Raevins house. The wax is made out of soy and essentials oils are used to scent the candles. This means no nasty toxic smells and you can wash out the jar once the candle has finished. In fact Raevins house even said that if you take the empty jar or the teacups back, you can have them refilled with your choice of wax! The teacup ones are soooo pretty! They come with their matching saucers and look so vintage! However I have one gripe with the candles, I wish the scent was a little stronger but that may be due to my sinusy nose lol. The jars are at £5 a pop which is quite reasonable and trust me they are gorge looking.

The candles also have super cute names such as the two we’ve bought were called ‘Delias Linen Shirt’ and the other one was aptly named ‘Lous Lous Coffee Pacifier’ 😀

To have a look at the teacup ones check out her website!

Last but not least was this beautiful, unique swirly ring that only cost me…..£1!!!! Yes £1!! Buttt I am so silly I can not recall the lady’s name 😩 she had a vast collection of amazing jewellery such as brooches, vintage scarf ties, earrings, pearl necklaces and more. There were boxes full of bargain items too👍🏽

So if anyone gets a gist of who I am on about please let me know so I could put up her link!

And lastly a fair is not complete without a vintage style tearoom with yummy cakes and hot drinks! So if you’ve never been to a vintage fair make sure Lous Lous is your first experience because believe me, me and my (hard to please daughter) 🙈LOVED it!!!!

MAC Lipstick Collab!💋💄

Hey guys👋🏽

You may remember Madi The Mermaid talking about doing Mac lipstick swatches on her blog! (You didn’t? That’s why you so need to follow her tut tut 😝) So nosey old me messaged her and asked if she would like to do one with me! This would then give our fellow readers a chance to see how Mac lippies look on different skin tones and of course the lovely Madi The Mermaid agreed!😁

Now prior to our post we did email each other asking what lippies we had but realised we did not have a single one that was the same☹ but we thought never mind, it would still be fun to collab and show off our own collection! And lipsticks vary so much on different skin tones, plus everyone owns a Mac lippie right? So here goes…..

Mac- Ruby Woo

My love of red started with this lipstick! It still is my absolute fave! It is a cool toned red with blues undertones (you can’t see the blue! Promise🙈) which means your teeth will look whiter and brighter with this lippie! I believe Ruby Woo would work on any skin tones!👍🏽 I wear this lippie when I’m going out, special event or even everyday! That’s how versatile it is😄

Mac- Brave

A pinky based nude colour that I am not a major fan of. It looks great in the bullet but once applied can look a little washed out on my NC42 skin tone. Usually when I rock this colour I use a brown lip liner to bring some depth into the colour! (Excuse the lighting👎🏽)

Mac- Russian Red

I saw this red on my fave person Sima (the owner of my fave local boutique CHINABOX!) and it looked awesome on her that I had to go get one of my own😂 This red is a lot deeper than the Ruby woo and has warmer undertones. It’s a great colour again for any skin tone, as my sister is around NC35 and it looks great on her too! In fact she prefers Russian Red over Ruby woo!

Mac- Viva glam II

The Viva Glam II range was launched by Rhianna in 2014! This is a mauvey colour which I thought would look great on me as Rhianna is a woman of colour too but how wrong was I? Don’t get me wrong it’s gorge but again like Brave so washed out on me☹. You can see here that I’ve had to pair with Mac Cork lip liner as it would not show up in the pic at all!

Mac- Matte So Chaud

My first Mac orange lippie and I was not disappointed with this one! It’s such a gorge orange! Not too neon bright and it gives such a nice glowy effect on my skin. As this is quite a matte lippie like the Ruby Woo make sure your lips are flake free and ‘balmed’ as every flaw will show! (You have been warned!)

Mac- Hug Me

Another Mac nude! The question is do I like it?😂 Mmmm kinda lol but again a very light pinky nude. It’s ok but again if you are an NC42 you may want to try it with a darker lip liner.

Mac- Dark Side

A superb burgundy from Mac! I love this one! Looks fab on its own and mixed with other berries! It’s not a  matte finish but an amplified one, which means the colour will be super intense and slightly in a satin finish. I’ve rocked this lippie a lot this winter!

Mac- Candy Yum Yum

My first ever pink lippie from Mac! I bought this after I’d seen it on my fave makeup YouTuber Arshia’s makeup (she’s amazing!) As she is an NC42 like me, I reckoned that this would suit me too and holy moly I was right! I love this colour and yes it’s pretty bright in the tube but it looks beautiful on! If you are shy of bold, bright colours I would steer clear from Candy Yum Yum as it may be too much for you🙈

And that is the end of my Mac Lipstick Collection! Does anyone have any other suggestions for colours for an NC42 skin tone? . Also if anyone knows of a nudey colour in the Mac collection that would suit my skin tone please do let me know about that as well! Thanks❤️

Now head over to https://madithemermaid.wordpress.com to check out her fab Mac lipstick collection and let us know if you spot any of your faves in either our posts!  Enjoy😀

Bloggers Fave- The Body Shop Blog Event!😄

Hey guys👋🏽

Here’s a review of my first blog event at The Body Shop! So I was invited along by my local Body Shop at the Highcross, Leicester. The theme was based around their new product launch ‘Drops of Youth’.

I love the revamp of the Body Shop! It wasn’t somewhere I use to go, as I am not a fan of their body butters 🙈(there I said it lol) The other thing that draws me to my local Highcross branch is my lovely skin care expert Laura! If Laura says it’s a fab product it defo is a fab product as she takes he time in researching her ‘skin’ passion. So I met up with Laura and she Introduced me to the new range, which is fab for the Winter!

Now in the Winter we all love to give our skin some tender loving care due to the central heating, cold air and crazy high/ low temperatures! (If you live in the UK you will know what I mean😒) and to help your skin The Body Shop has launched their new skin care! DROPS OF YOUTH!

(A hand picked colllection by Laura for my own skin type)

The products are based on their star ingredient PLANT STEM CELLS! The cells have been sourced from the harshest environments (as that’s where all the exceptional radiance, boosting cells live!) The three plants cells that have been used are Criste Marine, found on the Northern Brittany coastline. Sea Holly from the sandy shores of Soutern Brittany and Edelweiss from the high mountains of Italy. The plants cells have been packed into four Youth Enhancing product and they are –

Youth Essence Lotion £14 – A lotion that cleanses and helps skin absorbs moisture

Youth Cream £20 – Launched by popular demand! A light velvety air-whipped cream to moisturise the skin.

Youth concentrate serum £25 – A treat for the skin! Made with 98% ingredients of natural origin, that will enhance the smoothness of younger looking skin.

Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask £24 – An overnight replenishing mask (stated as Body shops top seller!) that will give you bouncier skin!

Drops of Youth Eye concentrate £19 – A firming concentrate for smoother looking eye contour.

This range claims to tighten pores, will give you smoother lines and bouncy skin!

Laura explained the origins and use of each products and she did a little skin demo on my hand and oh my the products are so velvety and smell gorge! My hand felt clean, light and smooth😍

From the product demo I decided to opt for the eye concentrate (as fine lines are beginning to show! Yes! 👎🏽) Bouncy sleeping mask and the youth concentrate serum. I am pretty happy with my Dermalogica cleansers, hence I opted for serums and masks.

I have been using the eye concentrate for about a week now and I love how cooling the gel is on the metal ball at the end of the tube. It’s dries to a nice matte finish, which then sets as a good base for my concealer. I only do this step in the morning and at night I apply a heavier eye cream.

The serum, I have been applying before my oils of life revitalising oil blend (full review on the oil coming up soon! HINT love the stuff😍) and it applies and soaks into my skin like a dream! This step is only done at night as that’s when I prefer to layer my skin products. During the day, it just feels too heavy for me.

To be honest I have not been trailing the sleepy, bouncy mask for long. As I am so lazy at doing face masks🙈 However this mask is a doddle as you just apply it like a night cream and go to bed with it! Even then I’m moaning lol. But I do love the smell and texture so will defo get back to you and let you know the results. I love how the masks comes with a little spatula so you are able to apply the correct amount. I probably would only use this once a week as that would be a personal preference for face masks.

At the event I was also given a little goody bag with other body shop skin care samples. Hopefully I will get round to trying some of those and letting you know how that goes.

For reference I just wanted to state that I have combination skin with a quite oily T Zone (with a few breakouts and acne scarring)  Laura did say the range was suitable for all skin types and I would say that rings quite true as I had no adverse effects such as breakouts or ‘extra’ oily.

And that wraps up my Body Shop Bloggers Event! Thank you to Laura my skincare expert and to Sally the fab store manager at the Leicester Highcross branch for making me feel so welcome!❤️

If you would like further info or would to try the ‘Drops of youth’ range, please go to 👇🏽m.thebodyshop.co.uk to find your local store!

Have you tried the ‘Drops of youth’ range? If yes, what are your thoughts?

*Disclaimer* please note these products were purchased from my own money (except the sample goody bag)  All the opnions and pictures are solely my own, unless otherwise stated!
